Imagine Dragons: The website uses darker and contrasting colours which is conventional for an indie group. To add a more attractive look to their website the image is their new album colour which has a variety of aesthetically pleasing colours. The background is a hyperlink to their new album and in the top left corner they have all of their social media links. There is a login section so fans can create an account, this is a good feature as it makes access easier. The band has a page for all of their tour dates which is a feature that is integral to a band's website as it keeps the fans informed. The navigation bar at the top of the page under the band name is very clear and is easy to use. There is an embedded link of their music video on the videos page that allows easy access for fans, and the about page allows people to know more about them as a group and their lives.
One Direction: The background image contrasts well with the band name on the website, the big and bold white writing shows very clearly with the dark clothing in their image. This group is not a rock group but have the same story as our band. They are more of a synthetic group so it is intriguing to see what a synthetic bands website looks like. They have the same page as seen on all websites which is a tour dates page, this keeps the fans informed. However their page is more of a list however on our website we wanted to include pictures to show fans what the venue looked like. The album page also includes a description of the album however this is not needed as the album is supposed to show the bands image and should not need to be explained. The colouring of this page is interesting as it stand out and draws focus away from the album.
The Beatles: This group are more of an indie style group, it was therefore more beneficial to look at this website as we were able to see what needed to be included and what did not. The homepage has a black and white image of the band which showcases them as being organic. This contrasts with the light background and navigation bar. The explore page of the website shows all of the band's albums. The band also included a merchandise page on the website, this allows fans to buy the band's products and support them. The white background to the clothes on this page allows the products to be more clear and visible.
