Kodaline are an indie group. The image above shows them as being a more serious band, the sunglasses add to the idea of them being a darker group. By wearing leather jackets they are telling people that they are in the rock genre. The dark clothing also work with the genre. The group appear to be more synthetic as their cover looks more professionally made and not done by an organic group. It is clear that the band has some organic elements in their star image but also some synthetic ones as well.
This is an indie rock band. The group look slightly hipster and geeky but together they have a more laid back and calm image. They do not seem like special people but rather a group of normal people that sing, they relate to people in a better way. The clothes are fashionable and match what their fans wear which means they will have a larger audience who wear similar clothing. They are clearly a band that is transitioning from being an organic group to being a synthetic one. As they further their career, their pictures are more serious and more planned out. The band played in a basement which shows them as being an organic group and changing. The band were asked to perform at various festivals and it was clear they were interested in the music which is what the fans were interested in as well.
This is a rock band. They are seen as being young and careless. Their clothes are stylish and modern. They all stand in a similar position to show that they are all equals in the band. The use of leather jackets adds to the rocker look. The idea is that they are meant to be relatable to the audience and in some ways they do this well. By focusing on the bands image, it gives the audience something to like other than just the music. The band are definitely organic as seen by how they were discovered, how they act and dress and how they sing.
This band are clearly a younger group, they are relatively new and became a band after meeting at school. They were discovered through YouTube by Sony Music. Due to the way the group started on YouTube, this makes them an organic group, this is again reinforced by their style and appearance. The bands members of each group are individuals, this is important as each needs their own personality. The band has a singer, guitarist, drummer and bass player. By being different the group gains more attention, e.g. the guitar player with coloured hair will gain more attention. The band don't wear matching costumes and ensure they are seen as individuals. They have a very authentic and organic image.
